WOW! The cover of the March edition COSMOPOLITAN magazine:
Jisuk’s name is at the right-hand side:
=============
Jisuk: Is there any man who does not like woman? In fact, all female guests in the program are charming and lovely and they give me good impressions when I see them working hard. Nonetheless, I would not involve with any of them while I am working with them.
Q: No kidding!
Jisuk: I mean it. If a person does not have this kind of mindset, then he could not work well. This is my true style.
Q: What will you do if your parents don't approve the woman you are going to marry such as what happened in the drama "GLORIA"?
Jisuk: In the past, I did say that I would fight for the woman I love to some extent. However, I changed my mind recently. My parents must have their reasons why they disapprove the woman I love.
Q: So you mean that you unconditionally go along with your parents' opinions?
Jisuk: Not completely. Once I had a drink with elder-brother Chun Hee (천희형, 李天熙) who announced his wedding plan awhile ago and he told me his humble story of getting his parents' approval of his marriage. Even though the parents don't mind, they would like to give their unconditional blessings to their offspring. Being undutiful to my parents would make me feel uncomfortable.
Q: Do you have any personal skill that you have not made public yet?
Jisuk: Good ‘body gag (몸 개그)’. Especially, I am good at imitating those "Masters (달인, 达人)", similar to Kim Byung Man (김병만) being able to imitate 80% of those masters!
Q: Although people call it "the master", it actually is a hudang (허당, 虚堂).
Jisuk: Although it looks like a hudang, it actually is not. If an opportunity comes, I would like to perform a "master" in the "Gag Concert" program.
Q: You like "humor code (유머 코드)", don't you?
Jisuk: I like Mr. Park Myung Soo (박명수)'s style of humor. Park Myung Soo's "raving gag (호통개그)" is quite interesting. In fact, he looks comfortable when he says those words, right? Therefore, his counterpart does not even understand why Park Myung Soo says those raging words. It is funny when his counterparts ask "What a heck is going on ..." ... I like and am entertained by watching this kind of humane image.
Q: It seems that it is important for a professional entertainer to interestingly communicate the storylines to the audience. What is Suh Ji Suk's secret method?
Jisuk: I got the nickname – "Mute (뮤트)" when I filmed for the first episode of "Enjoy Today" because I didn't say much ... It was not because I didn't have anything to say but was because I missed the timing to talk. Several times, other MCs had exciting conversations while I was thinking about words to say. It doesn't matter what a person says. It matters that the person expresses his point of view at the right point of time.
Q: Finally, tell me the most interesting story happened recently, which deserves to be the No. 1 story in the "Strong Heart" program.
Jisuk: Recently, I heard a story directly from the senior singer Mr. L. He said that his manager had been making many mistakes due to oversleeping in the morning. One day, he said to his manager with a bluff, "From now on, I am not your 'elder-brother (형, 兄)' in front of you anymore! I stop to be your elder-brother!"
Later, the manager brought Mr. L home after a late night filming. Mr. L fell asleep in the car. Arriving at Mr. L's house, the manager sat in the car worrying what to say to wake Mr. L up. Finally the manager said, "Mr. L! (L 씨!) We arrive at your house now. Wake up!"
Till now, elder-brother L and his manager are still working together. Oh, what an interesting story I was told in person ...
